About Kent
Kent has been a superintendent in the San Diego area for over 26 years and started in golf course maintenance back in 1988. Early in his career he was the Asst. Superintendent at Heritage Hills CC (known as Del Mar CC) during the construction through to the opening of the course. Kent then went to Malaysia for the construction of Kuala Lumpur Golf and CC. Upon his return to San Diego, he went to work for JC Resorts and was superintendent at Rancho Bernardo Inn, Twin Oaks Country Club and Encinitas Ranch Country Club. During his tenure he also managed the construction of Reidy Creek Golf Course and Arrowood Golf Course. Kent is an active member of the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America and is a past President of the San Diego Chapter. About Kimberly
Kimberly is coming to Bernardo Heights Country Club as the former Head Golf Professional of Vista Valley Country Club, where she spent nearly 11 years of her professional career. A dual PGA & LPGA Member, she was most recently named “2020 LPGA National Professional of the Year.” Kimberly’s dedication to member relations, golf operations, golf instruction and sharing her passion for the game have been recognized throughout the golf community for many years. Prior to her club career, she played professionally on mini-tours throughout the U.S. and Canada. She was part of a small U.S. contingency group invited to travel to China to launch the Xiamen Open. Kimberly has been very active throughout the years with the LPGA Professionals organization. She is currently serving as the Western Section President and on the National Executive Committee. About Matt
Matt Nicolle is a Class A British PGA Professional and Long Drive Champion. He grew up in the Island of Jersey, U.K. where his passion for golf began. He later moved to London where he lived for 7 years before relocating to San Diego, California in March of 2020.
Matt has been working in the golf industry for over 10 years; from coaching, training, club fitting, competing to event management. Through his years of experience, he has coached and shared his passion for improving people’s games across the globe from casual golfers to future PGA professionals.
Combining competitive spirit and his natural ability to produce impressive ball speeds, he took up the sport of Long Drive in 2016. He went on to win the Long Drive European Tour in 2017, with a record points total. He has now won five times globally and his longest drive in competition is 439 Yards!
Matt views coaching and player development as creating an environment that aids learning, performance and growth.
