Discover Crush It! for Juniors
At the heart of our Club, golf is the storied pastime that brings families, friends and colleagues together in a way few other sports can. With our Crush It! program for junior golfers, it’s fun and simple for kids and teens to learn new skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the sportsmanship and camaraderie that golfers of all ages share.
Learn to Crush It!
Our engaging Crush It! program introduces junior golfers to essential skills they’ll use for a lifetime — both on and off the course. We’ll go beyond golfing basics like stance and swing to help young golfers develop key character traits like confidence, respect and self-discipline. From age-appropriate instruction for our youngest golfers to competitive development for teens, Crush It! is shaping the next generation of golfers.

About Al
I am super excited to be back at Canterwood after nearly 20 years! I have been the Head Professional at Kitsap Golf & Country Club for the past 15 years, and even dabbled at McCormick Woods for a few years before that. However, I am excited to rekindle my friendship with old friends, and meet all the new Members that have joined since the last time I was at Canterwood. My wife Sherri and I have lived in Gig Harbor since 1990 and are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this August. We are the proud parents of Hanna (23) and Ben (21) who continue to take up our focus outside of work. Other than work and kids, we enjoy live music, good wine and boating. In 1991, I won 5 WWC Pro-Ams and was named the Western Washington Chapter Championship, Senior Champion. I have also been the Washington State Assistant Professional runner up 3 times (I never won, darn it).

About Ryan
Ryan first started playing golf when he was 8 years old with his father throughout Spokane. He then started working at Priest Lake Golf Course where he was mentored by multiple PGA professionals with over 30 years of experience both on tour and teaching. He has assisted with coaching junior camps, managing golf leagues, and planning multi-day tournaments. Ryan truly understands that each and every player's swing is unique and his goal is to help you create the best version of your own swing. Ryan believes this way you can not only become a better golfer but you will understand how to fix your own swing in the future. Ryan enjoys helping others develop their game by bringing a leveled patience to teaching making the game more relaxed. Ryan graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2019 with a degree in Business Management. Ryan is currently working towards becoming a full PGA Member.
